The kids heard the ice-cream truck and asked if they could have some. My response was, "that's fine but if you get ice-cream now then you don't get any ice-cream cake after dinner tonight" ...upon returning from the truck Drew says to me, "Psych! I still get ice-cream tonight cause I got a SNOWCONE from the ice-cream truck!"
Izzy wanted her friend, Averie, to stay for dinner tonight and since they are currently doing persuasive writings at school I had them each write me a letter as to why Averie should be able to stay for dinner.
I just spent way too long trying to explain to Drew the saying, "no, your other left" - talk about difficult! ...the only thing I can figure is...We had just left the getting him fitted for a tux and he said to me, "what does 'no your other left' mean?" I am assuming the guy doing his measurements told him to do something with his left hand and Drew used his right and then they guy said that too him. When Drew finally understood the saying he told me, "well that's just ridiculous. Why wouldn't he just say 'that's not your left hand
Drew just got out of bed to me and said, "Mom, if you say 'never' to something, is it possible that you might find yourself in a situation where you might actually want to do it?" What the heck???? How does he come up with such questions? I couldn't make it up even if I tried!

Continuing on with Drew
I just posted this as my facebook status:
I just put a pair of boxers on Drew (4) for bed and he excitedly exclaimed, "Yessss! These have a penis pocket!" That kid sure keeps me laughing :)
He's a nut. The other day he correctly used the word "catastrophe", however he pronounced it "fatastrophe" in a sentence. I will have to check with Pete and see if he remembers why he even used that word?

"Peeps" and not the Easter kind
Drew came down with some sort of virus on Easter. Since we were in Hilton Head I didn't really think too much of it at the time. He had a bit of diarrhea and was extra cuddly - I just assumed he was tired from a busy few days and had swallowed too much ocean water, pool water, and eaten too much Easter candy.
Here we are on Tuesday and he is basically peeing out his butt. This evening Izzy and I were sitting at the kitchen table working on her homework while Drew was on the pot. The following conversation went down...
Setting: Drew in the bathroom where all sorts of unique sounds are coming from his body.
Izzy: "Mom, is Drew pooping or peeing?"
Me: "He has diarrhea. So basically he is pooping, but it is more like he is peeing out his bottom." (how exactly does one explain this concept?)
Izzy: "Oh, cause it just sounds like he is peeing. ...again, and again."
From the bathroom Drew pipes in: "Hey, we should call it 'peeps'. Hey, Mom! We should call it 'peeps'. You know, kind of like we say 'poops', but because it is like pee coming out of my tush, we should call it 'peeps'. Get it? 'Pee - eeps'."
Me: "Yes, Drew. I get it."
Yep, that boy is going places :)

Mean Boy
remember last week when Drew was my Silly Boy? Well, now he is just mean. ...not mean in a bad way, but mean in a funny way. He is just like his daddy and loves to make people laugh. He seems to have a knack - a gift.
I went away for the weekend and the kids stayed home with Pete. This was the second weekend that I have been away alone since having kids. Pete did fantastic!!! ...and I had a really great time too.
While I was gone, this exchange went on between Pete and Drew.
Drew (smiling): "Daddy, I don't love you anymore."
Pete: "Drew, that isn't a very nice thing to say - it makes me sad."
Drew (turning to Izzy and smiling): "Izzy, now you tell Daddy you don't love him anymore too!"
Who says stuff like this?
He sure keeps everyone laughing! In fact, when Drew's teachers see me coming down the hall to pick up Drew, they immediately begin to smile and shake their heads - not a single day has passed without a couple funny stories regarding Drew and his antics.

More from Drew
The kid is on a roll with funny stuff. And for those that asked to see his nakey video from last night I think I can post it. Let me clarify, I viewed it and it is G-rated material. I taped it on my video camera and have no idea how to upload that stuff. You see...we have videotaped since Izzy was born, yet we have never gone back to watch any of it. ...she is nearly 4!!!
The video clips you see sometimes are done with my regular camera. That I know how to upload since it is just like pictures. Now if only I could learn how to use all the settings.
This evening Pete ran out to get some milk. The kids and I went through nearly a quarter gallon today while we ate our freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. When Pete got home Drew excitedly said, "Daddy's home!". I asked him if he missed Daddy. His response..."No Mama. I not miss Daddy. I miss my milk." I told this to Pete and apparently he didn't believe me because he asked him again. Poor guy got the same response.
Just a moment ago Pete turned off the show Drew was watching and announced he was going to watch a daddy show. Drew asked, "You gonna watch football?" Pete said, "You want to come watch some football with Daddy?" Drew shook his head and said no. Pete asked him if he wanted to watch baseball? Drew shook his head again and politely said, "no tank you Daddy." Isn't he just the sweetest!
Okay, I am going to attempt to figure out how to post the video from last night. You all realize (I am speaking to the huge blog following I have. Ha!) that if I figure this out myself a) I rock! and b) I will be a video posting fool!
