Not only was our hotel room view amazing, but so was the pool! There were 6 pools, I think, a sand area, water slide, a couple hot tubs, and twists/turns/tunnels for the kids to run and hide in.
We had originally planned to go to Sea World on Monday, but once we saw our hotel we bagged that idea. We thought after being up so late the night before they would want/need a down day at the hotel. Not to mention it would allow us to keep our dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare that evening.
Some hotel exploring...the main elevators actually left the building at about floor 16 and travelled on the outside of the building to the 28th floor. The kids and I road the elevator at least a dozen times. I felt like Charlie in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
That night we had dinner reservations at the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare restaurant. It was a character dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Stepsisters/Mother and it was fantastic! Those characters never stray from "character". While we waited for our table Drew entertained me by posing for some photos.
Have you noticed the green strip of hair he is sporting? Drew had been asking for green hair (as well as a mohawk) so in exchange for his haircut I told him he could have green. Izzy wanted pink, but no hair cut. I wanted her hair cut more than I wanted Drew's cut...so a shorter do and some pink hair and we were both happy!
Our first visitor was Prince Charming:
Next was Cinderella. When she approached the table and went to sign the kids autograph books, Drew stopped her and said, "Wait, I already got your autograph, remember?" She put her hand to her chest and said, "Oh my, that's right. Now I remember you (in her sweet little shocked Cinderella voice)." And then Drew proceeded to remind her exactly where/when she signed his book.
The Stepmother (Lady Tremaine)...so funny!
Drizella. (both her and Anastasia made a couple different faces)
Her and Drew discussed temper tantrums and how they both like to throw them. She also commented on Izzy's pink hair streak and said how Anastasia would be so jealous because pink is her favorite color.
Anastasia. She would screech a very high pitched drawn out "cheese" when posing for some pictures. It was awful sounding!
When my mom was taking too long to snap a picture and said, "Okay, are you ready, 1, 2..." Anastasia interjected with a "WE'RE READY!!!!!"
But my favorite thing she did was this...check out what she did to Cinderella's picture under her signature.
We got lucky and after dinner we went outside and were able to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks show.
It was one of my favorite character meals and we were SO happy that Omi and Papa made the drive up to share the experience with us!
