Guess Who's Two...DREW!

Two years ago today we were blessed with a beautiful blue eyed, blond haired bouncing baby boy. Andrew Joseph was born at 3:53 am and weighed in at 8 pounds even. He was 21.5 inches long. Since he was born via c-section he came out with a perfectly round head, and equally round cheeks!

Here is his first family picture. I wish I could find the picture Pete took on his cell phone because it is so cute...but I can't locate it?
Photobucket

The first year was a bit of a blur. I remember thinking on more than one occasion that this wasn't as hard or as exhausting as I thought it would be. I also thought I did a pretty good job going with the flow and not disrupting Izzy's routine too much. Drew learned early on to just go with the flow. He was a wonderfully easy baby compared to his high maintenece sister. He had my heart from the moment he was born...and still does.

Drew walked at 10 months. ...and ran by 10.5 months. He has been on the go ever since. Here he is the day he turned one.

One year later, at age TWO, here is my Drew-drew.
Photobucket
Isn't he so handsome. I will say that this last year has found our lives to be much "easier" for a lack of better word. Drew and Izzy have the relationship that I had hoped for. They play well together 99% of the time. I find that I have more time to actually enjoy life these days. Izzy is the most wonderful big sister and loves to mother her brother.

So his birthday was quite a fun filled day. First let me fill you in on Drew's 2 year well visit stats.

He weighs 29 lbs. 12oz.
He is 35.5 inches long
His head measures 19.5 in.

There.

So, while Izzy had school, the birthday boy and I ran a couple errands. I did not plan a birthday party for Drew this year. However I did order a cake with The Cat in the Hat on it. The smallest cake I could order was a 1/4 sheet. For our cake-loving family that was just fine. I thought I should at least get some child like party plates and maybe some balloons. So, we made our way to the Dollar Store. Drew picked out Seasame Street party supplies. ...he didn't have many options at the Dollar Store.

It was after I picked Izzy up from school that I thought maybe we should have a few people over for an impromptu birthday party. Heck, we had a big enough cake. So, I called some friends and an impromptu party was in the works.

Befor our party we had plans to attend an open tumbling gym. The kids and I had never been to this facility, but we had been wanting to go. We met up with some friends and had SO much fun. The kids bounced on trampolines, balanced on beams, swam through foam pits and basically exhausted themselves.

Here are the kids waiting for the doors to open. I just love how Drew crawled over and hugged Izzy - and the look of joy on her face.

I am not sure why I have no pictures of Drew...oh wait, I do know...I couldn't keep up with him! And when I did catch up to him I usually had to pull him off of an aparatus that he wasn't supposed to be on. Therefore, I was unable to snap pictures.

We got home from the tumbling place at 5:30. I had told everyone to come over anytime after 6. The guests were to include: Rylie and family (who went tumbling with us), Delaney and family (who was also tumbling with us), and Jack and family. As you can see we basically invited parents we like to hang out with and children the same age as Izzy. Sorry Drew.

Before any guests arrived, Izzy wanted Drew to open the present she picked out for him. She bought it the weekend I was out of town while shopping with Pete.
Photobucket
Drew's first Buzz Lightyear. Izzy has since told me that she would like to take this for Show and Share at school one day.

Here are a couple other presents.
Drew has recently really gotten into "search and find" books. Look at the concentration.
Photobucket

Mr. Handsome and his new airplane. I forget who makes this plane but it is super flexible, is supposed to withstand any toddler torment and is dishwasher safe.
Photobucket

A way cool boy toy from Jack. Here is Stephanie (Rylie's mommy) helping to get it out of the box by unwrapping the hundred twist-ties.
Photobucket

Drew got lots of other presents as well. Pete got him a basketball hoop which has brought lots of fun 2 on 1 games between Pete and the kids.

As previously mentioned Drew's cake was a Cat in the Hat theme. Drew loves anything Cat in the Hat (by Dr. Suess as he always adds) and was most excited that he got to play with the cake topper after we took it off. Give the kid a basketball hoop and he wants a plastic cake topper. Go figure.
Photobucket
This is Drew blowing out the candle. Izzy and I had been practicing with him for 2 days on how to blow out candles. He got it first try while I was video taping so this picture is actually Drew blowing out his candle for the second time.
Photobucket
...yup, we like cake so much that we just pick the whole darn piece up. No time for cutting.

Because I planned this party six hours earlier, I had no party bags made up for our guests. ...but I did have a fully filled pinata. Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you. We brought that pinata home from our WV Swyt Family Reunion trip (never did blog about it) in July. We were going to use is at our "Cinco de Swyto" party but never got around to it. So, Swyt family loss...Drew's birthday gain. The kids loved it and there was no fighting over candy because we had plenty for everyone. Each child filled the festive party bags I provided (ala ziploc gallon size) at least half full.

Do You Know What Tomorrow Is?

It is Drew's 2nd birthday. As I sit here drinking wine and watching Grey's Anatomy I can't help but feel a bit empty. I remember dreading turning 30 but once the day arrived and then passed I was fine. The anticipation was the hardest part. I sure hope this holds true for this as well. I think tomorrow will be a very hard day for me. Drew will be 2.

Two years ago my mom and Al were here to lend a hand with Izzy while I was in the hospital. My mom was then going to stay a couple extra days when Drew came home. Here is what I remember...and some have probably never heard this story.

I had placenta previa with Drew. It had moved to "marginal" at the end of my pregnancy and therefore I was scheduled for a c-section on September 25th. Due to the fact that it was marginal, and I really had hoped for another vaginal birth, my doctor had decided one week prior to the scheduled c-section that I would be a good candidate for an induction. So, I was rescheduled to have an induction on September 26th.

My biggest concern was not the induction, but rather how Izzy would handle my absence. I was not to be at the hospital until 10:30 the next morning, but had decided that we would leave before Izzy even woke up for the day. I figured I could go to the hospital and claim I was in labor, cause would they really send me home if I had a scheduled induction a few hours later?

So, I went to bed in our guest room. My parents were in our bedroom, and Pete was on an air mattress somewhere. So, around 12:30 am I woke up thinking my water had broken. Stop reading now if you don't want to know all the gory details. I remember thinking this will be great...Drew will be born before Izzy even wakes up so Pete will be able to get back home shortly after. I just wanted Izzy to be okay. I didn't need Pete at the hospital - I needed him with Izzy.

So, back to the story. It wasn't my water that broke; I was bleeding. There was alot of blood, intense pain and I was very scared! I woke up my mom and then she woke Pete. We debated on whether or not to call 911. We opted to drive ourselves. On the way I called the hospital and told them what was going on. I also told them that I hadn't felt the baby move. Once we arrived, Pete dropped me at the door and parked the car. I remember walking in and the lady at the desk saying to me that I needed to sign in and then have a seat. I told them that I just called, was bleeding and had not felt the baby move. Again I was told that I needed to sign in and have a seat. I then told the lady that my husband was parking the car and if when he came in and I wasn't in a room hooked up to a monitor then he would go ballistic. At this point I was crying because I was so scared. I got into a room, and the heartbeat was found. Thank God!

So, they get me to a room and not a single person will touch me. I am losing blood and have been prepped for blood transfusions. We are just waiting for the doctor to arrive. Finally he does, takes a quick look and says we need to get the baby out asap. I now have papers being put in my face left and right to sign. I am literally signing papers as I am being wheeled down the hall into the OR. All of a sudden Pete has disappeared. I am sure someone told me that he was being taken away, but I don't remember. I just remember him being gone. Where the heck is my husband? I was in the OR being prepped and asking for Pete. The nurse tells me he will be in soon. I finally let the enormity of the situation take over. I LOSE IT! L.O.S.E. I.T!!! I begin SOBBING! I tell a nurse that I can't die. I tell her that I have a husband and a 19 month old baby girl that need me. I tell her that I am their everything and they are mine. She gently cradled my face with her hands and told me that she promised me everything would be okay. I believed her and thankfully she was right.

Tomorrow my baby boy turns 2. I promise to only share good stuff tomorrow...

Izzy's First Dentist Appointment

Izzy had her first visit to the dentist today. It was at 8:00 am, which for our family is too early to be expected to arrive anywhere. Adding to the difficulty of the time was the fact that Drew would be with me because Pete was out of town. So, Izzy needed to be up, dressed and teeth brushed by 7:30. Drew on the other hand just needed to be carried from his bed to the car. I am happy to report that we made it to our appointment with a couple minutes to spare! About 5 minutes into the ride Drew said, "Hey Mama, where we goin?" Poor kid probably just woke up and realized he was in the car.

So, I can't rave enough about the staff. They were SO WONDERFUL. Izzy got called back and Drew and I were able to go with her. The dental chair was in a room with about 5 other chairs. It was one big, bright, colorful, open room. I like the open room as I think it makes the kids not feel too confined. The downside is that children can hear other upset children. Izzy sat in her chair and Drew and I went behind a wall so Drew could play with toys. We were still all in the same room and Izzy and I could see one another if we looked in a mirror. She was so cute just sitting and smiling at me. I think she knew I was so proud of her being so brave.

Lauren cleaned Izzy's teeth and did a fabulous job. She spoke to Izzy in the softest, most nurturing voice. She also wore purple gloves which Izzy thought was way cool. When she tipped Izzy back in the chair, Izzy got to wear purple sunglasses. Lauren told Izzy the sun was about to come out so she needed her shades. In case you didn't figure it out, the sun is the bright light overhead. After her teeth were cleaned, the dentist came out to count Izzy's teeth and give her a fluoride treatment which I think was the worst part of the entire visit (unless you count our bill). I think it must have tasted pretty bad because as we were leaving she was gagging and trying to spit.

After her appointment we headed to Dunkin Doughnuts for a special treat. What better way to celebrate no cavities then with a nice sugary donut? After that it was off to Starbucks for me.

Tuesday afternoon meant dance for Izzy. She loves dance more and more every week and I am so glad. She goes off into class with her friends and doesn't look back. From what little info I get out of her she really likes both her teachers. Each week she adds more moves to her dancing at home which leads me to believe she is learning something. ...alwyas nice to know since I don't get to watch class.

Tomorrow is Izzy's class picnic at school. It will be nice to meet some of the other moms~

Kid Free Weekend

Well, for me anyway.

This past weekend 6 girlfriends and I headed to the beach! We planned this a couple months ago and I would be lying if I didn't say that I was nervous about leaving Pete and the kids. I am happy to say that everyone had a great time.

We arrived on Friday around dinner time and immediately decided to head out to dinner. It was so nice to go to a restaurant where we had a drink in the bar while we waited for our table. Do you know our table didn't even have crayons with the menu? Imagine that! After dinner we went back to the house and just sat around, drank and chatted until almost 3 am. Saturday we were all up by 8:30 and then just leisurely got ready for a day of shopping. We shopped all day and then ordered pizza for dinner. Again, we stayed up until 3 drinking...but we also played games. Sunday we were up by 8:30, cleaned up some and got ready to head home.

My weekend was wonderful and it gave me a chance to reflect on so many different areas of my life. I will forever be thankful to my husband for encouraging me to go and taking such good care of my babies while I was away. With fondness I will remember the awesome group of woman who I shared my first kid free weekend with! I know that I talked too much - hence sharing more than any of them probably wanted to know - but hopefully they still like me and will vacation with me again some day.

Pete and the kids did GREAT while I was away. I really don't know who I was more worried about. Pete or the kids? I think it was that I was worried the kids would be asking about me or whining for me to much and therefore annoy Pete. It wasn't even so much Izzy as it was Drew. Isabelle knew that I would be gone for a couple days and was really okay with it. I think she was excited to help watch Drew - she loves to be my helper, especially when it comes to Drew. Drew however is in a mommy phase. He loves his mommy something fierce and the week leading up to me leaving he was particularly clingy. So, are you wondering what my family did with me gone?

Friday after naptime Pete took the kids to the mall. I am pretty sure dinner that night was soft pretzels and cookies. Saturday Pete had the kids in the car pretty early heading to the zoo. He even remembered a fully stocked diaper bag and the double jogger. Saturday night he took the kids to Target and bought them each a toy for being so great. Isn't that cute. He told Izzy how much he appreciated all her help and wanted her to pick out a special toy. She choose "Puppy in my Pocket" which she has been wanting for over a month. She also picked out a gift to give Drew on his birthday. Drew got a Batmobile. He calls it his "Batman Oatmeal" - I need to just dedicate a post to that so I remember it always. I love it!

Sunday I think they played all morning and then had naps and quiet time. I arrived home about 4:00. I didn't arrive empty handed as I brought a pirate hat home for each kid. They have had lots of fun playing pirate and saying "Arrhh Matey".

Oh, and another highlight was the night I got home Drew ate chicken! Chicken and steak all in one week. Yeah Drew!!!

Apple Picking

Hooray, today was the day we finally made it apple picking. When Izzy woke up this morning she came into my room and as soon as I opened my eyes she said, "We are going apple picking today, hooray!" And then when she saw Pete the first thing she said to him was, "Daddy, I am going apple picking today!" Pete said that someone sure was excited.

She had a great time plucking the apples from the trees with her friends Delaney and Ian. Here is Izzy ready to head to the orchard with her bucket in hand!
Photobucket
It was great because as we were heading out to the orchards all the school children who were there were just finishing up. It was just us, the trees and the bees. This was a different location then the one we went to before, and it was great because there were so many branches that were low enough for the kids to reach.

Here is Drew heading to the orchards with a random apple that he picked up off the ground.

After all our picking we had a nice picnic lunch and then headed home. I, however, left behind my stroller, Izzy's shoes, cooler, and camera. Thankfully Delaney spotted my stroller and Jen put everything in her car. I then met her at the grocery store and was able to reclaim my things.

Once we got home both kids went down for naps and quiet time. After that Izzy and I made some apple dumplings and apple crisp. It turned out yummy!

Now I just need to figure out what to do with the other 18 apples!

Push Play, Pokey

"Push play, Pokey." That is what Drew tells me everytime a dvd comes on and stops on the menu screen. Do you know how funny it is to be in the kitchen making dinner and hear his little voice saying "Push play, Pokey" as he waits for a video? As he nears 2 he is becoming more and more verbal. With all his words come comedy. It is no wonder I can't discipline him the same way I was able Izzy...I am too busy laughing at him.

So yesterday two big things happened over here.

First, my most wonderful husband worked from home yesterday afternoon so that I was able to go get my hair cut and colored. Thanks honey! I tried to book an appointment with a guy at a salon recommended to me for either an evening or weekend appointment and was told the next available was Saturday, Nov. 29th! Yes...after Thanksgiving. So, Pete was kind enough to take a day and try to work with the kids surrounding him. As for the color...well, it is darker than I think I have ever been so I need to get used to it. The cut...my hair isn't anything fancy, but I do think he did a great job on my cut.

Second, drumroll please....Drew ate steak for the very first time. Drew is my picky eater and certainly no lover of meat! I think he has been on a hunger strike for the last month. I blame it on teeth, and the fact that as a wee one I had to snack feed him as we always were on the go. Two months ago Drew lived on oatmeal. This past month it has been yogurt. Yogurt with sprinkles when I am feeling generous. But last night we had steak, salad and potatoes and Drew ate steak. Not only did he eat it, but he said "I yike steak."

Izzy on the other hand eats most foods. At the very least she will try a food. The rule over here is one that I was raised on - you must take a "courtesy" taste. If she doesn't like it, then she doesn't have to finish it. She wasn't fond of last nights potatoes, but she took a bite and swallowed it.

Last night found Pete and I watching one of our favorite shows, The Biggest Loser. We don't just watch the show, but we eat cake while watching it. For some reason we think it is funny to watch the contestants work out to lose weight while we stuff our face with cake. Go figure?

Today was a school day for Izzy. She was presented with a "Star Student" award. From what I gather it was given to her for playing with Sarah. I don't know if Sarah was sad and Izzy helped her or if Izzy was sad and the teachers gave it to her to cheer her up? Who knows. She said she had a great day and I got the most info out of her ever! I think she was most proud that her teachers liked her pants (pants I got at Target last year and she is wearing for her second season). Glad the chick has her priorities straight - fashion before friendship (or academics for that matter). Oh, and Izzy told me all about the good morning song they sing, the blessings before snack, and the end of the day song. I love that they have so many songs! She loves to sing and teaches them all to Drew.

We are heading to a birthday party this afternoon and then apple picking tomorrow morning!

Oh, and I decided to try and start running again. So, while Izzy was at school I strapped Drew in the single jogger, doublefisted with lollipops, and headed out. I ran two miles in just under 20 min. Not bad for me. I am hoping if I document my workouts on here that I may commit to them!

Rain Delay

Due to the rain our apple picking outing had to be put on hold.

I figured that since we don't have any other plans that I would write some of the funny things the kids have said lately. Of course justice can't really be done without the voices, but oh well.

Izzy:
While watching Curious George I commented on how George was eating an apple and drinking out of a juice box with his feet. Izzy said to me, "He only eats with his feet when he has something in his right hand AND his left hand." Smart girl - George was reading a book with his hands.

Drew and I were in the kitchen this morning bickering over the fact that I wanted him to pick up a bagel he had dropped on the kitchen floor before I would give him something else to eat. Izzy came into the kitchen and offered to pick up Drew's bagel. I told her that was nice of her to offer, but that Drew needed to do it himself. After I asked him to pick it up once more and he still refused, Izzy said, "Mom, do you and Drew need me to be the MODERATOR?" Excuse me, but moderator out of a 3.5 year old?

Hey, last week she used collaborate in a sentence. I am pretty certain she learned that from the show Pinky Dinky Doo.

Typically when Izzy and Drew hear the garage door open to signal Pete is home at the end of the day, they both hide. Well, one night Izzy was having dinner (spaghetti I think - which is a favorite) and decided she did not want to hide. She said, "That's okay if Daddy sees me eating. I don't mind."

Izzy has informed me that she doesn't like "crunchy" pretzels. I can only assume that I usually give her stale pretzels.

Oh, remember how Pete bought Izzy the princess clock? Well, in case you don't remember it has stars that shine on the ceiling. It didn't take Izzy long to figure out that she can only see the stars if her room is dark. After this realization she said to me, "How did Daddy know about the stars if it was light out when he bought my clock?"

The first two days of school Izzy was sent home with a Tootsie Roll lollipop. Apparently the teachers do this if the kids have a great day. I assume on the first two days they did it just cause. Anyway, Izzy made it to the center of the Tootsie Roll pop for the first time ever and then said "How'd they get that smooshed in there?"

We went out to dinner a few weeks ago and as Izzy was getting into the car she stepped up and said, "This step is especially steep."

Drew:
Perhaps the greatest thing was on 8-30-08 when Drew said to me out of nowhere while sitting on my lap, "Mama, I love you." He said it again and again and I got all teary eyed. That boy can melt me! I know the I love you was just for me, because Pete tried to get him to say it to him and he wouldn't!

While eating a pack of Diego gummy snacks I ask him what Baby Jaguar says, to which he replies "mrrrow, mrrrow." I then ask him what Deigo says and he replies, "Don't eat me Baby Jaguar. Don't eat me!"

Drew was blowing bubbles in his water cup and I told him he needed to stop. He did it again and I took his cup away and told him to stop blowing bubbles. He then dropped down into a 3 point stance like he was going to rush me.

When you ask Drew if he wants something and the answer is "yes" he will say "Okay, yeeessssss". The yes is long and drawn out with a slight lisp.

If you ask Drew if he wants something (ie: Drew would you like some crackers or not) and the answer is "no" then he will just say "Not Mama. I say not."

Typically Izzy wakes up before Drew. Most mornings Izzy will go into Drew's room to get him with me. If she does not then he will immediately ask to "see Izzy." Well, one morning she did not come get him out of bed with me and Drew said "I go see Iz-zeee, my sister." Sister was emphasized too. It was funny. He now likes to refer to her as "Izzy, my sister"

While Izzy typically wakes Drew up with me, Drew likes to put Izzy to bed with me. So, one night after Drew and I put Izzy to bed we were walking back downstairs. I was carrying Drew downstairs and I said something to him. He put his hands on my face and said "Ssssshhhh. Ssssshhhh. Izzy seeping. Ssssshhhhhh, Sssshhhh, Izzy seeping. Mom! Mom! (not even Mama which is what he normally calls me) Izzy SEEEEEP-ING!"

Finally, while reading Drew a book one night before bed he turned to me and brushed a hair out of my face. He then patted my head and said, "That looks nice Mommy."

Kids sure are cute, huh?

Catch Up

I just need to backtrack a bit and catch all my fans up on a couple things from the past few days.

First up...Izzy and school stuff. I think I am loving Izzy's teachers this year. Maybe it is because at 3 the class has more structure, or maybe it is the teachers themselves, but whatever the reason her class rocks! On Friday I received a weekly update letter which referenced events from the past week as well as what to expect this coming week. This week finds Izzy learning the letter A. Her homework assignment for the weekend, which is not mandatory, was to find a picture of something beginning with "a" for her to present to the class. I busted out her pile of magazines that I have been saving for this reason and she found a picture of a squirrel eating an ACORN all by herself!

Last week she started her first week of bible study. I love that she has chapel as well as a music class once a week. Each month there is a shape and color associated with it. The color for September is blue and the shape is circle. Last week Izzy painted a blue circle and also an earth. Here is a picture of her earth along with her bible verse.

Photobucket

In other fun news, I hopped on the tie dying wagon and decided to make some shirts. My friend Kristin did this with her boys and the shirts turned out really cute. Well, Nolan (the mailman) delivered my current issue of Family Fun and by golly one of the crafts was tie dyed t's. I thought it was the perfect first tie dye attempt as it only involved one color. I did not soak the shirts long enough - Kristin warned me via her blog but I still made the same mistake. Oh well, I think they still turned out really cute. I decided to paint a Halloween picture on the front of the shirts. Izzy wanted a witch and I did a ghost for Drew.

Photobucket

Photobucket
I also made some extra shirts for some of Izzy's friends.

Izzy had school today and did just fine. One day I need to bring the video camera and record Drew as we leave her classroom. You would hear... "Bye Izzy. See ya later Izzy. Have a good day at cool." in the sweetest voice EVER! Today when she was loaded into the car after school and I asked if Izzy speaks at all during class (cause she is NEVER silent around us)because she has a tendency to be quiet when uncomfortable or nervous. Her teacher told me that they were beginning to hear more of her voice. That was refreshing for me to hear.

While Izzy was at school I took Drew to the Children's Museum. He had such a great time "calling all the shots". At one point he must have realized Izzy was missing and he wanted her there because he looked at me and said "Go Mama's car. Get Izzy at cool. Pease Mama, get Izzy."

Here is Drew taking a call. Fire emergency, I think?

Did you see Drew's shiner? If not, check out his right eye. He got that at Izzy's school on Friday.

Ironically this is what he was doing!
Photobucket

The kid is just asking for another black eye. Just what I need a week before his 2 year portraits. That goodness for photoshop!

There we go. Now I just need to update the blog with some of the funnies that the kids have said over the past couple of weeks. Also tomorrow we are going apple picking - sure hope it doesn't rain!

Friday Funday

Well, now that my weekend is almost over I have a ton of catching up to do. This post will be dedicated to our Friday fun and then I will post another entry to catch up on some of Izzy's school stuff and the rest of our weekend.

Friday found Pete waking at 5am to catch a flight to LA for the Saturday game between Ohio State and USC. His weekend was not what he had hoped for...and Ohio State lost. Both legs of his flight had layovers in Houston. He made it to LA, but is still having trouble getting home.

Onto the rest of us. Izzy had school so we got her up, fed, dressed and off to school. Then Drew and I came home to pack up our things for our fun afternoon. We were heading to meet some friends about an hour away at a fun park.

This is just part of a huge playground that was there.
Photobucket

Izzy and Drew really liked these swings. I felt like I was buckling them in a roller coaster.
Photobucket

Due to the rain that we had earlier in the day the carousel and train ride were closed. No worries though because there were still plenty of activities to be had...such as the mini-zoo.

We saw bears

A bald eagle
Photobucket

A woodchuck -which was my favorite
Photobucket

Many attempts were made to get the four kids picture taken together. We either ended up with a shot from behind...
Photobucket

Or something like this...

I did manage to get a couple cute shots while we played on a smaller play aread by the zoo area.

Next was a stop at the petting zoo. Drew and Julia couldn't get enough of this goat. ...and the goat couldn't get enough of them.

It was after I snapped this picture that I realized Julia had a banana and Drew had some cookies.

Got ya!
Photobucket

Then we headed over to the snake pit...Izzy is standing on a stone snake.
Photobucket

Finally I was able to get a shot of Luke
Photobucket

Now there are two things that my kids would probably rate as "their favorite". I am not sure if one was any better than the other.

The first was finding a grasshopper. This was such a thrill for them that they searched for more once we got home, and the following day. This grasshopper was a little slow or kid friendly. He would only hop away if my kids touched him, which they found hysterical, otherwise the little guy would just sit completely still.

Finally we stripped them down and the kids ran wild in the sprinklers.

And I think Drew just got hit with some too.

Although a couple attractions were closed due to the rain, the one benefit was that the park was nearly empty. It was nice to let the kids wander freely. As long as they were within sight it was all good!
