Color

Kids are awesome, ...and so fantastically innocent! Izzy has two boys on her soccer team both named Caleb. One is black, the other is white. One could assume that Izzy might label them by color when speaking about them. But does she? No. When talking about our game tonight she referred to them as, "Caleb with the blond hair, and Caleb with the black hair".

I wonder how long kids "don't see color" so-to-speak?

Cuteness! :)

99% of the time Adam identifies kids he doesn't know by what color shirt they're wearing. We were once at a playground with a black boy wearing a black shirt and Adam kept LOUDLY talking about "that black boy" and I just wanted to go over and tell the boy's parents...it's his shirt! His BLACK shirt! Instead, I just sat there embarrassed. ;)

I was just talking about this with some girlfriends and they all seemed to think that because our kids are growing up around color, it will never be a question. Hope so!
